Private Pilots Licence – PPL

PPL – Three all inclusive packages from £4,500 each

The Private Pilots Licence (PPL) is a private licence which entitles you to fly as Pilot in Command (PIC) of a single engine piston aeroplane up to a maximum take-off weight of 5700kg, in any European country and outside with a conversion, for private and recreational purposes.

The course consists of nine theory subjects which can be learned self-study or through our regular study seminars and briefings, and a minimum of 45 hours flying training consisting of dual and solo flight including solo cross country flights to other airfields. The PPL also covers basic radio navigation (VOR and NDB) flying and instrument appreciation.

The minimum age to collect your licence is 17 and the minimum age for solo flight is 16. You can commence training at any age.

A PPL requires a class 2 medical, which you can get from a visit to an Aviation Medical Examiner (AME).

Your PPL comes with a single engine piston class rating and allows you to fly daytime in visual conditions. You can train further to get your night, instrument or multi engine ratings.

Training starts at £249 per hour flight costs.

All inclusive packages and discounts are available, call or email to discuss.
